About CNC Bike Parts

A short page with no marketing in it. What this site is, who writes it, what standard the writing is held to and what we will never tell you.

What this is

An independent matching service for one narrow thing: CNC machined bicycle components. Stems, cranks, chainrings, hubs, brake mounts, seatpost hardware, e-bike brackets. You send a drawing. We read it and pass it to machine shops that already mill aluminum and have anodizing sorted, up to 3 of them. They quote you directly.

It is run by an independent sourcing specialist, not by a factory and not by a marketplace platform. One person reads every RFQ. That is a limit and an advantage: slower than a database, better at telling you when your part is wrong for machining.

The full model, including who pays whom, is on the how it works page.

What this is not

  • Not a factoryWe own no machines. Anyone in this business who is vague about that is worth a second look.
  • Not a bidding platformYour drawing is never posted publicly for shops to undercut each other on.
  • Not a brokerWe take no commission and never appear on your invoice.
  • Not a certifierWe do not test parts and we cannot tell you a design is safe. That is a test lab's job and the brand's responsibility.

The editorial standard

There are 29 guides on this site and they exist to be useful to someone who will never send us an RFQ. That only works if they are accurate, so these are the rules they are written to.

  • Numbers are sourcedMaterial properties, coating thicknesses, thread sizes and interface dimensions come from published standards and material data, not from memory. Where a figure is a working range rather than a specification, it says so.
  • Typical means typicalEvery tolerance and lead time in a table is labeled typical. None of them is a promise, because the shop that quotes you owns that promise, not us.
  • No invented proofYou will find no client counts, no years in business, no testimonials, no logos and no certifications on this site. This is a new site. Saying otherwise would be the fastest way to deserve no trust at all.
  • No named factoriesWe do not publish the shops in the network. Shops do not want their customer list inferred and buyers do not want theirs inferred either.
  • Trade-offs, not sales copyWhere machining is the wrong process we say so, including when the answer is forging, casting or buying a catalog part. A guide that only ever concludes "send us your drawing" is an advert.
  • Written with AI assistance, checked by a personDrafting is assisted. Every specification, standard number and dimension is checked before it is published, and a mistake is ours either way.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it. Not soften it, fix it, and note what changed.

This matters more in machining than in most fields. A wrong tolerance or a misquoted standard number can cost somebody a batch of parts. If you machine bike components for a living and a page here does not match what you see on the shop floor, you know something we do not.

Email with the page and what is wrong. No form, no ticket number.
